Children’s Halloween Party: Cefn Gardening Club hold their free Halloween party on Sunday, October 29, from 6pm-8pm at the Green Hall. Prizes for the best costumes and winners of the pumpkin carving competitio­n.

Concert for Heroes: A night of song and music will be held at the Bethlehem Church Life Centre, on Friday, November 10 from 7pm.

Singing and music will be provided by the Glamorgan Youth Choir, Pencoed Silver Band and the Bridgend Big Band.

Tickets cost £7.50 from myself (details above).

The event is sponsored by Glamorgan 121 and all proceeds go to Help for Heroes.

The Vicar of Dibley at Christmas – The Second Coming: Stage Right Production­s will be performing the above production at the Green Hall on Thursday and Friday, November 16 and 17 at 7.30pm and Saturday, November 18, at 3pm and 7.30pm.

Cefn Sports and Social Club: A 60s themed charity night will be held this Saturday, October 14 at 7.30pm in aid of the Cefn Young Footballer­s and the proposed sensory unit at Cefn School.

There will be live music, a raffle and prize for the best 60s fancy

Diwrnod Shwmai: A community event will be held at Cynffig Comprehens­ive School to support Diwrnod Shwmai. The event will take place this Thursday October 12 and will have two different sessions:

Cwtch Chwarae Canu – for pre-school children and their families with coffee, cakes, singing, games, etc.

Bore Coffi Cymraeg – from 10.45am-12noonfor adults, with coffee, cake, a little taste of welsh, bingo (in welsh) and entertainm­ent.

Psychic Supper At Green Hall: This Friday, October 13 at 7pm. £10 including buffet. Call Mandy Baldwin on 07917 097 975.

Fashion Show: On Tuesday, October 24 at the Green Hall. Garments by Bonmarche and Cery’s Closet, of Kenfig Hill, will be on show. Admission is £7.50 includes cheese and wine or a soft drink.
