Chil­dren’s Hal­loween Party: Cefn Gardening Club hold their free Hal­loween party on Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 29, from 6pm-8pm at the Green Hall. Prizes for the best cos­tumes and win­ners of the pump­kin carv­ing com­pe­ti­tion.

Con­cert for He­roes: A night of song and mu­sic will be held at the Bethlehem Church Life Cen­tre, on Fri­day, Novem­ber 10 from 7pm.

Singing and mu­sic will be pro­vided by the Glam­or­gan Youth Choir, Pen­coed Sil­ver Band and the Brid­gend Big Band.

Tick­ets cost £7.50 from my­self (de­tails above).

The event is spon­sored by Glam­or­gan 121 and all pro­ceeds go to Help for He­roes.

The Vicar of Di­b­ley at Christ­mas – The Sec­ond Com­ing: Stage Right Pro­duc­tions will be per­form­ing the above pro­duc­tion at the Green Hall on Thurs­day and Fri­day, Novem­ber 16 and 17 at 7.30pm and Satur­day, Novem­ber 18, at 3pm and 7.30pm.

Cefn Sports and So­cial Club: A 60s themed char­ity night will be held this Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 14 at 7.30pm in aid of the Cefn Young Foot­ballers and the pro­posed sen­sory unit at Cefn School.

There will be live mu­sic, a raf­fle and prize for the best 60s fancy

Di­wrnod Sh­w­mai: A com­mu­nity event will be held at Cynf­fig Com­pre­hen­sive School to sup­port Di­wrnod Sh­w­mai. The event will take place this Thurs­day Oc­to­ber 12 and will have two dif­fer­ent ses­sions:

Cwtch Ch­warae Canu – for pre-school chil­dren and their fam­i­lies with cof­fee, cakes, singing, games, etc.

Bore Coffi Cym­raeg – from 10.45am-12noon­for adults, with cof­fee, cake, a lit­tle taste of welsh, bingo (in welsh) and en­ter­tain­ment.

Psy­chic Sup­per At Green Hall: This Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 13 at 7pm. £10 in­clud­ing buf­fet. Call Mandy Bald­win on 07917 097 975.

Fash­ion Show: On Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 24 at the Green Hall. Gar­ments by Bon­marche and Cery’s Closet, of Kenfig Hill, will be on show. Ad­mis­sion is £7.50 in­cludes cheese and wine or a soft drink.
