Ladies’ Choir: Ogmore Valley Ladies’ Choir have their practice night on Wednesdays at Canolfan, Bethlehem, Commercial Street, at 7pm. All over 18s are welcome.

Pilates Class: Thursdays, from 6.15pm, at Litchard Mission Church, Litchard, Bridgend. For beginners and intermedia­te.

Blackmill Over-50s: Blackmill Over-50s meet at the Community Centre on Wednesdays at 7pm.

New members are always welcome.

Wyndham Boys & Girls Club: Christmas Day, don’t be on your own come and join us at the club for afternoon tea at 4pm to 6pm. New Years Eve, come and welcome in the New Year with us, 6.30pm until late (please bring a plate of food).

Trigger: Well, this year has been another year for Trigger, with all the charity work he does. He has reached so many great charities this year, which includes Muscular Dystrophy, Cancer Research, Wyndham Boys and Girls Club and other local charities too. A big thank you to all the stars of Most Hunted TV series for signing all the T-shirts that were auctioned off and all proceeds given to the charities. Also Trigger would like to say a big welcome to the famous band Those Damn Crows for what they are going to do over the up and coming year of 2018. Trigger would also like to say a Big, Big, ‘Thank You’ to Tim from Bridgend Embroidery Store for everything that he’s done in helping and supporting Trigger in his charity work. So from Trigger and the gang we would like to say thank you to those of you who support us in the shop.

Coffee Mornings: Coffee morning at Christchur­ch Chapel, Corbett Street, Ogmore Vale, on Thursday, January 25, , with a cake stall, book stall, china and clothes stalls and not forgetting a raffle etc. It will be from 9.30am to 10.45am. So why not join them for a coffee and its free admissionm too. All welcome.

WOMEN’S INSTITUTE: Southerndo­wn WI met in All Saints Church for a Christmas coffee morning with lots of festive food and a happy atmosphere.

TEA & CHAT: Members had their Xmas lunch at the Fox & Hounds on Saturday with 38 people attending.

MOTHERS UNION: St Brides Major Branch recently met at the Heronston Hotel for their Christmas lunch which was enjoyed by all. Christmas Eucharist at 10am on Friday, December 22 in All Saints, Southerndo­wn.

KERBSIDE COLLECTION: Over the Christmas period the Vale Council collection day for our area of black refuse bags, recyclable­s and kitchen waste will change from Monday, December 25 to Wednesday, December 27. During the winter months there is a ring and request service for green bag garden waste, call 01446 700111. Our kerbside collection of recyclable­s and kitchen waste for Monday, January 1 will move to Tuesday, January 2.
