Do something extraordinary

-

EVERY child deserves a stable and loving home but children who have been taken into care have often experienced trauma, abuse or neglect.

Foster carers can help them through difficult times and have a longlasting impact on them.

Carers receive full training, a dedicated 24-hour helpline to social workers, generous financial support and respite breaks.

We are always looking for ordinary people to come forward to do something extraordinary, by helping support vulnerable children.

We are in need of foster carers to provide longterm, short-term, shelter, respite recovery, and support for children, even those that other foster carers may find too challenging to look after.

With the ongoing support from the Moondance Foundation, Barnardo’s Cymru has developed the Better Place Project, which recruits Specialist Foster Carers. These support a small group of children who have experienced a range of adverse experiences.

Barnardo’s Cymru is also particularly keen to hear from potential adopters who feel they could provide a forever family for a sibling group through its Adopting Together campaign.
