Music Treat: It was my annual visit to the heats of the Dunraven Welsh Young Singer of the Year, held this year at St Michael’s’ Church. The morning was given over to the schools with age groups 11-14 and 15 to 18, then the afternoon involved the seniors – some still at college, others starting on their way in the professional world. Some contestants brought their own pianists, while others were accompanied by two brilliant pianists - Ryan Wood and Sian Davies.
