KEV KICKS OFF

- With Kevin Ellis

I HAVE got to say Wales were fantastic and I think everyone is in shock about how good that performance was. It was champagne rugby at its best. They made Scotland look very ordinary and the Scottish defence was shambolic. We had Alun Wyn Jones, Aaron Shingler and Josh Navidi making clean line breaks and causing lots of damage. I know Rob Howley will say it’s the Wales game plan but the Scarlets combinations are really help with our attack game.

This Saturday will be a different animal and England were very impressive against Italy. Wales won’t have the time on the ball like they did against the Scots. The English have got an aggressive line speed and they rush up a lot and put lots of pressure on the ball players. I’m sure Warren Gatland and Howley will analyse their game and will change their game plan to maybe look to play the corners and target the lineout and I think they’ve definitely got to send Scott Williams and Hadleigh Parkes down George Ford and Owen Farrell’s channel as they’re not the strongest in defence. I’m sure Shaun Edwards will look to get Wales to do a rush defence and put their ball players under massive pressure and knock them off their games and hopefully Wales can turn pressure into points.

Ireland had to go 40 phases in injury-time to beat France in Paris with a 40m monster drop goal to win the game. The much improved French team were devastated in the wet conditions in Paris.

Well done to the Wales U20s and the Womens team who also beat their Scottish counterparts up in Colwyn Bay on Friday night. This week will be a massive challenge as England Women are one of the best teams in the world and the U20s are strong. QUESTION: Do you think we will beat England at Twickenham? Would you make any changes?

No I don’t think we will beat England. I think it will be close but I think England have got better strength in depth off the bench and they will be a lot stronger in defence than Scotland. I can’t wait for the game. Good luck boys!
