LLANELLI TOWN .......... 0 PENYBONT .................... 6

PENYBONT breezed into the League Cup final on the back of this emphatic victory over Llanelli Town under the Stebonheath Park floodlights, writes Tony Poole.

Just 72 hours after recording a league victory at Merthyr Town, winning the day 3-0, Bont once more hit the road.

This time their destination was Llanelli Town, and up for grabs was a place in the cup final for a third successive season.

But with the Sospans failing to come on the boil, it was all too easy for Penybont to make it two wins in three days.

However, there was a downside on the night for Bont, as Mackensie Kay was dismissed in the 88th minute for serious foul play.

Kay had earlier net- ted while Thomas Davies struck twice and the other goals came from Liam Warman, Rhys Jordan and Ioan Clatworthy.

In the other semi-final, Swansea City beat cup holders Cambrian & Clydach at Llandarcy Park by a 4-1 margin.

Bont will now face the Swans in the cup final on a date and venue yet to be announced.

During the inaugural cup final of 2016, Bont lost 4-0 against Cardiff Metropolitan University at Cam- brian & Clydach.

And last season they were well beaten by Cam, 5-1, in a cup final that was taken to Penydarren Park in Merthyr Tydfil.

Bont will now be hoping it’s a case of third time lucky against the Swans.
