Care home celebrates anniversary
A BRIDGEND care home has celebrated its 15-year anniversary.
Bryn Celyn Care Home in Maesteg marked the milestone with a party last week that included a buffet as well as a performance from a Britain’s Got Talent star.
The residential and nursing home, which was bought by Hallmark Care Homes in 2003, recognised residents, relatives and individuals who have contributed to its success at the event, and the musical entertainment for the party came from the ITV show’s 2016 finalist, Melanie Bell.
Throughout the event there was also an oppor- tunity for people to take a tour of the home’s newly refurbished café and hair salon.
The special event, which was held on February 8 ended with speeches from the home’s general manager Mary Richard and the care provider’s managing director, Avnish Goyal.
Ms Richard said: “Bryn Celyn Care Home has had an amazing journey over the last 15 years, thanks to the continued support from residents, relatives, team members and members of the local community.
“All of the team at Bryn Celyn are strongly committed to ensuring that our residents are supported to continue to live full and active lives and I am delighted to be part of such a wonderful team,” she added.
Mr Goyal said: “It is fantastic that we are celebrating Bryn Celyn providing 15 years of outstanding relationship-centred care.
“I want to thank everyone who has come along to help celebrate this monumental occasion.”
