Coytrahen: A Night of Welsh Nostalgia, Music and Comedy featuring Keith David and Dennis Lang at the Coytrahen Community Centre on Friday, March 2. Tickers £5, Doors open at 7pm.

Spiritual Healing: Spiritual healing is offered each Tuesday from 6pm-7.30pm at the Ynysawdre Community Centre (at the junction of Bryn Road and Heol-yrYsgol).

The Book Fair will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 6, 7, and 8 between 9am and 4pm on each day. Admission is free and refreshmen­ts are available.

Coffee Morning: The coffee mornings at Bridgend United Church continue every Friday and Saturday between 10am - 12noon. Why not go along to the church on Tondu Road and enjoy a lovely cuppa and make new friends.

Lent: The Lent Lunches at Nolton Church will continue every Friday until a week before Good Friday. A lovely bowl of soup and fresh roll and cheese and a cup of tea or coffee all this for £2.50. All for the benefit of Water Aid and the Bridgend Food Bank.

Service: Hospital Christian Fellowship service will be led by IIgu Lee from Bridgend on Friday, March 9. The service will take place in the Hospital Chapel at the Princess of Wales Hospital, Coity Road at 3pm, and of course all are welcome.

Pilates: A Pilates Class is now taking place in the K2 Gym, Main Road, Industrial Estate at 10.30am. Also there is a Pilates class at Litchard Mission, Litchard Terrace at 6pm. Contact Ruth on 0778662733­5.

Concert: The Annual Three Choirs Concert will take place at St Mary’s R.C. Church, Ewenny Road on Friday, March 2. The concert, hosted by Bridgend Male Choir features Pontyclun based Vocelle Ladies Choir and the Oldcastle Primary School Choir. This annual event continues to delight and while the format remains similar, fresh faces and content make it one to look forward to. The concert is in support of the St. John’s House (Trust) (Hospice) Newcastle Hill who are committed to purchasing St. John’s House on Newcastle Hill, as a focal point for the local community. Following on the heels of the Three Choirs Concert the Male Voice Choir can be seen at Tabernacle Chapel , on March 9. The concert is in support of Cancer Research Wales and is to be hosted by journalist, presenter, and newsreader Huw Edwards. The choir is always interested in attracting new members who will be made welcome at rehearsal, held every Thursday evening from 7.30pm until 9.30pm, at Oldcastle School, South Street. A warm welcome will also be extended to visitors to the area to sit in at one of the practices.

Indoor Bowls: is a great way to make new friends and have some exercise. New and experience­d bowlers of all ages are welcome at Ogwr Bowls Club, Bridgend Life Centre, Newbridge Fields. Charity Book Sale: Arrangemen­ts are in hand for Bridgend Lions Club Annual 3 day Book Sale to be held at Westward Community Centre in April.

Church Update: The Women’s World Day of Prayer service will take place on Friday, March 2 at 2pm in St David’s Church. This year’s featured country is Suriname and all are welcome.

Shared Services in March - Our Benefice Eucharist for March will take place on March 11 – Mothering Sunday – when we will all gather together at All Saints Church, Pen-y-Fai. Our shared celebratio­n will start at 10.30am and will be followed by refreshmen­ts : we look forward to sharing worship and celebratin­g together.

Annual Vestry Meeting – Updating the Electoral Roll - Our Annual Vestry Meetings take place on Sunday, March 18 and in readiness for this we are currently updating the Electoral Rolls. Please check the Electoral Rolls which are displayed in each of our churches and if you spot a mistake or need to be added to the Roll, please speak to Anthony or to your church wardens who have the forms you need to complete. Completed forms need to be returned by this Friday, March 2.

The Real Easter Egg 2018 - The Real Easter Egg campaign for 2018 is underway and the Benefice order will go off on Monday, March 5.

The Real Easter eggs are all ‘Fairtrade’ eggs (and are also free from Palm Oil) but there is now a small ‘range’ of eggs from which to choose. Order forms are available at the back of church for the Original (£3.99), Dark (£5.50) and Special Edition (£9.99) eggs, or you can contact Anthony.
