Singers celebrate legacy of The Beautiful South
NINE-PIECE band The South – featuring former members of The Beautiful South – are performing at the Grand Pavilion in Porthcawl on Saturday.
Featuring singers Alison Wheeler and Gaz Birtles, The South celebrates The Beautiful South’s legacy and songs of their own.
The band continues to perform the classic songs including: A Little Time – the number one single, Perfect 10, Rotterdam, Old Red Eyes, Good as Gold, Don’t Marry Her. All performed again live, these songs span an impressive 20 year career starting way back in 1989.
The South are: Alison Wheeler (Vocals), Gaz Birtles (Vocals), Phil Barton (Guitars), Steve Nutter (Bass), Dave Anderson (Drums), Karl Brown (Percussion), Gareth John (Trumpet), Su Robinson (Sax), Andy Price (Keys).
The South are at the Grand Pavilion on Saturday, March 24, at 7.30pm.
