On-song Sophie Evans was in the right place at the right time to lift the ball over a clutch of de- fenders and hit the backboard.
Back came Carmarthen to make it 1-1 at the changeover and on the restart, Bridgend began to go through the gears.
But although the Ravens looked more likely to score, ultimately they had to settle for a one-point return.
