Côr Meibion: On Saturday, June 2 the choir, Côr Meibion Maesteg a’r cylch, were invited to sing at the wedding of Leah Louise Davies from Maesteg and Edward John Henry Partridge, the venue being the wonderful St Weonards Church, St Weonards, Herefordshire.

Before the service the choir sang three pieces – Rachie, the favourite Cwm Rhondda and Llanfair and then, during the signing of the register, entertained the congregation with Calon Lan, Myfanwy and finally Gwahoddiad.

The church was packed to the rafters and had wonderful acoustics which really enriched the sound of the choir.

The bride had kept the attendance of the choir a secret and her mother only found out on the Thursday before at the rehearsal and, such was the delight of the congregation, they all applauded with gusto.

Côr Meibion would like to thank the happy couple for the invitation and wish them good wishes for their future together and would also like to announce that they are always available for hire at weddings and details can be given by Phil Bevan-Jones on 07799 335 599.
