THE family of a dad-ofthree killed in a collision on the M4 on Sunday evening has said his loss had left a huge hole in their lives.

Antony David Lewis died at the scene of the single-vehicle collision on the off-slip road at junc- tion 45, Ynysforgan, at around 7.05pm.

Paying tribute to the 54-year-old, who worked in Pyle, his family said: “Antony leaves behind his loving parents Marga- ret and David, his loving sister Alison and brotherin-law James, and ex-wife Teresa.

“His children Alex, Matthew and Bethany are distraught over their father’s death; he’s left a huge hole in our lives that will never be filled.

“Antony had a wide range of friends from both Port Talbot and Morriston, who will all be devastated by his sudden passing.

“Antony was loyal to his family and friends, would talk to anyone and would show respect and kindness to all who knew him.

“He had a sense of humour and always made us laugh.”

The family added their thoughts were also with his work colleagues at Pipework Mechanics in Pyle, where Tony, as he was known to colleagues, worked as a welder. They said he would be “greatly missed” by coworkers.

Mr Lewis lived in Portmead, Swansea.

The eastbound stretch of the M4 between junction 44 and 45 was closed for around six hours following the crash.

South Wales Police said only one vehicle was involved – a silver Mercedes SLK 200 – and are appealing for witnesses.

Anyone who witnessed or has footage of the crash is urged to do so via 101, quoting occurrence 1900032991.
