Pontycymer Over 35’s: It was over 15 years ago when Pontycymmer Veterans embarked on their first ever over 35’s tour to Newbury. Since that initial trip over Offa’s Dyke, they have gone from strength to strength, putting in some eye catching displays against some of the best veteran sides England and Wales have to offer.

The destination has now been agreed for this season’s tour, in which Pontycymmer over 35’s will be traveling to Gloucestershire on the weekend of 1st & 2nd June, where they will face Old Cryptians Veterans at the Memorial Ground.

Pontycymmer RFC Match Report: Pontycymmer 19 - Alltwen 23

Pontycymmer recently welcomed Alltwen to Lawrence Park for this Division Three, West Central clash. By the closing stages, the game could have gone either way due to a fantastic come back from the Green and Ambers, who were 20-5 down with just 15 minutes left on the clock.

Pontycymmer’s points came via tries from skipper Scott Forester, Sean Kendall and burly wing, David Upton, with Geraint Gillet firing over a brace of conversions. Bridgend Blue Bulls star centre, Gareth Howells put in a huge performance in defeat.
