Anthony Wilkinson (Cornelly Striders) finished in 2:37:09 to claim 145th spot ahead of two runners from the Ogmore Phoenix club in Simon Harrison 2:37:20 (152nd) and Gareth Richards 2:43:58 (194th). RICHARD Dando (Bridgend) last Saturday carded a 17th victory in 64 starts at Porthcawl 5K Parkrun along the Wales Coastal Path.

His winning time was 17:52 which was 43 seconds outside a personal best (pb) set back in August 2014 when finishing fourth behind Gareth Ayres (Port Talbot Harriers).

And significan­tly the 17th success left him level with Matthew Wells (Amman Valley Harriers) on all-time event victories.

ROWAN Hobbs last Saturday made it 20 wins in 35 visits during the 80 th staging of Maesteg 5K Parkrun, clocking 18:52.

First-time competitor Caroline Bassett was first female to finish, recording 23:06 to come 15th, while her colleague from the Pegasus club in Cardiff, Ellen Sugden, was 51 seconds behind.

Libby Lavis (Brackla Harriers), who finished 23rd, took third spot, completing the course in 24:30. ANNA-ROSE Merchant pulled off another Bridgend Junior 2K Parkrun victory last Sunday in a time of 7:47.

However, Alfie Smallman (Swansea Harriers) was only 12 seconds behind with Dan May (Cornelly Striders) taking third place in 8:06.

The remaining top-10 places in the 175th staging of the event went to Eve Ruby Hickman (Bridgend) 8:22, Dylan Jones 8:27,

Daniel Perriman 8:32, Joshua Morgan (Bridgend) 8:36, Luke Woodhouse 8:51, William John pb 8:58 and Samuel Cubbage 9:04.
