Nursery celebrating good report following Estyn inspection

-

A BRIDGEND nursery has received a glowing report following its recent inspection under strict new guidelines introduced by Estyn and Care Inspectorate Wales.

Busy Bees Bridgend, on Gentle Way, was the first nursery in Wales to be inspected under the new framework introduced in January and achieved a scoring of “good” across all areas by Estyn’s chief inspector.

The report praised the nursery’s approach to wellbeing, noting: “All practitioners provide very good care and support for children. They use positive behaviour strategies to promote good interactions and make their high expectations clear to children.”

It added: “Staff observe children in early stages of language acquisition to see how they spend their time so that additional activities can be planned based on the child’s interests.”

Nursery manager Ceri Kinsey said: “We have a fantastic team that work seamlessly together to provide children with the best start in life and this report reflects that. The inspectors admired our use of free play and resources which enables us to offer children an interesting learning environment that challenges them every day.

“I’m incredibly proud of the result – it makes all our hard work worthwhile and proves that we are providing a high standard of early years education. It was also great to be able to share this news with our parents, as it further demonstrates our commitment to delivering quality childcare to the children in our care.”
