Vintage Tea & Tractors at the Signal Box: The vintage tea at Cefn Junction Signal Box that was postponed due to the stormy weather will now be held on Saturday, August 31 from 2pm-5pm.

Treat yourself to delicious homemade cake, check out vintage tractors, and take a look at Cefn’s very own mini museum, the Signal Box.

So keep your fingers crossed that Derek the Weatherman forecasts dry, sunny weather!

Free School Uniform Swap Shop at the Life Centre: The next school uniform swap shop events at Cefn’s Life Centre will be held at the school holiday brunch club from 10.30am12.3pm0 on Wednesday, August 28 and Thursday, August 29.

You can browse the collection and help yourself to what you need.

If you, or anyone else you know, needs uniform outside of these dates, please email: familieste­am@myBCLC. org and they will try and help you.

Meet With Our Local Police Team: Pyle neighbourh­ood policing team are holding their next PACT meeting for residents of Cefn, Kenfig Hill, Pyle and Cornelly at Pyle Life Centre on Thursday, August 29 at 6.30pm.

This is an opportunit­y to raise any issues about crime or policing with our local officers face-to-face either during the meeting or on a one-to-one basis just after or before the meeting at the Life Centre.
