16, Pontycymer travel over the mountain to face Valley neighbours Ogmore Vale in round two of this season’s WRU competitio­n.

Blaengarw Workmen’s Hall: On Thursday, November 14 at 7.30pm in Blaengarw Workmen’s Hall, the Lighthouse Theatre present the play, It’s A Wonderful Life in a co-production with Pontardawe Arts Centre.

Inspired by the classic American film,

It’s a Wonderful Life is performed as a 1940’s live radio broadcast in front of a studio audience. The story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.

It will take help from Clarence the lovable angel for George to have a change of heart and understand the true spirit of Christmas.

Valley Ravens: Just a reminder that the

Valley Ravens mini/ junior rugby section are holding a grand night of entertainm­ent and auction evening on Saturday, November 9 at Pontycymer Rugby Club.

Live entertainm­ent is from the outstandin­g group The Big Lick and also the incredible Matthew Hawker Magic.

Doors open at 6.30pm and tickets cost £5. Sales are proving to be very popular so make sure you don’t miss out on what is going to be a fantastic night.
