What a carry on! Finding a big enough bed was always difficult for 6ft 6ins tall Carry on comedy star Bernard Bresslaw. The Imperial Hotel in Jesmond, newcastle, provided him with a double room so he could sleep diagonally across a double bed when he was in the pantomime in Mother goose at the Theatre Royal.
