New Healthstore in Bridgend: Welcome to The Kakadu Plum Healthfood Store in Bridgend – after the closing down of Holland and Barrett recently with so many other stores in Bridgend!

This new store is at 40 Nolton Street, Bridgend opposite Wilkinsons.

All major brands of vitamins, supplements and superfoods are stocked therein and a wide range of Keto, Sports, Vegan, Vegetarians, Gluten Free, Sugar Free and Organic Products.

Contact 07864 811 426 or visit website thekakaduplum.com for more information.

The Masked Dog!: Masks are the latest fashion to be seen these days on all those responsible people who choose to wear them.

Many of us I am sure have watched the Masked Singers on the television to be followed by the Masked Dancers but I wonder how many shoppers noticed the curly Masked Dog outside the old Tesco this week.

It was awaiting its owner’s return, sitting in the car, well behaved, looking out wearing a smart black mask! The picture certainly made passers-by smile.

Lions Charity Book Sale: Calling all avid readers – pop into the Bridgend Indoor Market on Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5 and pick up some great bargains for the holiday season.

The stall is manned by members of Bridgend Lions from 10am-3pm and it’s good news that the Market Cafe is now open too.

Emerald City Creations: For all those interested in craft work, workshops have restarted at Emerald City Creations, 20-22 Caroline Street, Bridgend.

For any further information you may contact the owner Christina Slade via the following: email: emeraldcitycreations@hotmail or you can telephone 01656 711 181 or call 07916 895 301.

Christina will be pleased to advise on card making, jewellery making, scrap booking, cross stitch, sewing mixed media etc, and looks forward to meeting you.

Bag it and Bin it!: It is pleasing to see the brightly painted signs BCBC has erected in the vicinity asking dog owners to pick up any fouling by their pet and dispose of in the nearest bin.

If a bin is not readily available perhaps they could dispose of it at home as more such bins are definitely required on the footpaths.

Line Dancing: A hall is needed for a line dancing class of approx 15 ladies in the Bridgend area for one evening per week (from 7pm-9pm) when an appropriate fee will be agreed.

If anyone can help please ring 01656 657 846 or email: carbrya@ supanet.com.
