Premier Division Bedlinog FC 6-0 Aberfan Rangers:

The home side managed here to get their first win of the season and in some style, they found themselves 3 up at the break and pressed on in the second half and secured three further goals. Bedlinog scorers were William-Clement with three, Lawrence Hutchings, Lucas Jones & Travis Greening.

Black Lion 6-3 Trelewis Welfare B:

This was end to end stuff with the visitors leading at the break 3-2. In the second half the Black got the better of the visitors and turned things around to secure the points. C Huxton (2) and D. Tilley were the away scorers with J. Gerlach, and J. Grindall netting one apiece but the star of the show was Ben Mabbitt with four.

Georgetown BGC 1-2 Merthyr Saints:

This was a top of the table clash and it lived up to that, the Town were the early leaders through Ethan Bevan and they led at the break. Andre Maia then got the visitors back into the game and it was all to play for. Ian Cleary then popped up in the 76 th minute with the winner and as hard as they tried the Town couldn’t get the equaliser.

Pantyscall­og VJ 2-0 Aber Wanderers:

It was all square at the break with both defences holding strong. It was in the 52nd minute that J. Lloyd broke the stalemate and a second from C. Williams sealed the points for the home team.

Trelewis Welfare 2-2 Gurnos FC:

The first goal came from the visitors through J. Davies early in the game, but D. Sussex then equalised through a penalty. K. Hawkins then scored for the home team and thought he had secured three points, but in injury time, J. Davies netted his second for the visitors to secure a share of the points.

CRM/JFL Saturday/Sunday Juniors CYNON/RHONDDA/MERTHYR JFL UNDER 13 DIVISION. Gurnos FC 1-11 Penydarren BGC:

As hard as they tried the plucky Gurnos side could not stem the flow of goals from the visitors who controlled the game.

CYNON/RHONDDA/MERTHYR JFL UNDER 14 DIVISION.

Ely Valley 2-2 Merthyr

Saints:

The Saints came up against a decent Ely side and although they scored two it wasn’t enough and the points were shared.

An action-packed game saw the home side having to share the points in a six-goal thriller.

Gurnos FC 3-3 Trebanog: Treharris AW 5-2 Hirwaun & Mack:

The home side came up against a hard-working team and needed five goals to secure all three points.

Ton & Gelli 1-1 Heolgerrig Red Lion:

In a hard-fought game the visitors worked hard and came away with a valuable point.
