Social media support on offer to small businesses

-

LOCAL Labour MS and MP for Ogmore, Huw Irranca-Davies and Chris Elmore, are calling on small businesses across Ogmore to get in touch again in the run up to this year’s “Small Business Saturday” on December 2.

The pair have been dedicated supporters of the campaign for a number of years, and in the run-up to this year’s Small Business Saturday would like local small businesses to get in touch and tell them what products and services they have on offer.

They will then promote the small business via their social media feeds, and it doesn’t matter whether its online or on the high street.

Business owners are also being asked to submit a photograph of their local enterprise if they would like to be featured on social media.

Huw Irranca-Davies MS said: “Our local high streets and small businesses are still recovering from the pandemic and the costof-living crisis is causing added pressure.

“It is essential that we do all we can to support them.

“If you are a small business owner in the Ogmore constituency, please get in touch so Chris and I can help promote your business via a strong social media campaign”.

Chris Elmore MP said: “Small business are the lifeblood of the local economy here in Ogmore, whether you are a new business or an established one we want to hear from you.

“As winter approaches, I recognise that many are struggling with both high energy costs and inflation. The message is clear, we need to keep supporting our small business now more than ever.”

In previous years, small businesses from across Ogmore have received prestigious awards, from being invited to a reception at 10 Downing Street to winning Bridgend Business Forum’s Entrepreneur of the Year awards, among others.

If you are a small business owner, then please do get in touch with Huw on 03002007328 / huw. irranca-davies@senedd.wales or Chris on 01656 860034 / chris. elmore.mp@parliament.uk
