Warm Hub: On the last Thursday of every month All Saints Church, Penyfai, has been very successful in the Warm Hub initiative held in All Saints Church, Penyfai.
Although the Warm Hub Programme has finished the congregation of All Saints Church are now offering a Warm Welcome and light lunch on the last Thursday of the month – with the next due on Thursday, November 30 from 12noon-2pm.

Smyrna Welsh Baptist Chapel, Penyfai:
Information provided by Smyrna Welsh Baptist Chapel Penyfai. The minister for Smyrna Chapel is the Rev Dorithy M Evans BA. There is a service every Sunday at 6pm and on the first Sunday of the month there is a Communion service.
Also, in the vestry, there is a Tuesday coffee morning from 10am-noon; and Thursday evening Bible study from 6.30pm-8.30pm. Everyone is welcome.

Christmas Fayre: Smyrna Baptist Chapel, Heol Eglwys, Penyfai, is holding a Christmas Fayre on Saturday, November 25, from 2pm.
There will various stalls to browse for that special Christmas present, including the Christmas stall, bottle stall, toys and jewellery stall, cakes and pastries, tombola stall and raffle. Tea and coffee will also be served, so please come along and enjoy the Christmas Fayre afternoon. All are welcome.

The Penyfai Village Community Association is working with the National Garden Scheme are planning an Open Gardens 2024 event next year, and are asking the residents of Penyfai if they would like to help and showcase their gardens in aid of charity?

Christmas will soon be with us and the Newcastle Higher Community Council is reviewing and making an action plan to renew some of its Christmas lighting on lamp posts in Penyfai, Aberkenfig and Tondu.
Residents were very disappointed that some of the lights failed last Christmas. Every effort is being made by the council to make our festive lights much better this year.
The Christmas Tree on the corner of Court Coleman Road and the Penyfai Common was perfect and a pleasure to see with white lighting.
Maintenance Committee members have had meetings concerning the maintenance of the Community Woodland, Aberkenfig.
The Aberkenfig Village Square is the focal point of the Aberkenfig Village scene with its flag pole,war memorial and commemorative murals created by local school children.
A new tender and contact is to be arranged for the Pheasant Field by the Newcastle Higher Community Council for nex year.
