Eyewitness sought after flasher incident

POLICE are hunting for a man who exposed himself to a pensioner in a cemetery in daylight.

The incident happened in the old cemetery in Glasgow’s Muirend at around 11am on Monday.

The 65-year-old woman was in the old cemetery when she was approached by a man who exposed himself to her.

The man then ran across Netherlee Road into the new cemetery and towards Linn Park.

He is described as between 28 and 30 years old and he is 5ft 8in.

He was wearing a white baseball cap, a white short sleeved T-shirt, grey jogging bottoms and white trainers.

Detective Constable Derek Rennie, from Giffnock CID, said: “This was a very disturbing incident for the victim and it is important that we trace the man responsibl­e.

“The victim spoke to a man right after the incident who is believed to have seen the suspect making off.

“This man is described as around 40 years old and was in the company of a young girl and four black and white spaniel dogs.

“He was standing next to his maroon/red saloon coloured car parked on Netherlee Road.

“We would like to speak to this man as he may be able to provide us with informatio­n about the suspect.”

Anyone with informatio­n is asked to get in touch with officers at Giffnock CID on 101.
