Peacock enjoying strutting his stuff

- By SCOTT MULLEN

BRAEHEAD Clan forward Craig Peacock is revelling in his recent scoring streak after netting three goals in three games.

The Great Britain internationalist has found his feet in Glasgow after moving from the Belfast Giants in the summer and played a key role in the team’s success that saw Clan pick up six points from six.

Peacock already has his eyes on the visit of Fife Flyers on Friday and is keen to move on from last week’s success, but take it into the meeting with the Kirkcaldy side.

“I moved to centre and I’ve been finding myself in the game a little bit more. Plus, with great line mates, they’ve been making it really easy,” Peacock said.

“I think I’m finding my stride and I always want to contribute offensively, but I haven’t had the chances.

“I think I’ve been doing okay, so it’s nice to get some points now.

“It’s been a really good week and we set out want- ing to have a good month because of the run of games at home so this week has been massive in picking up six points.

“There’s no easy games and everyone is fighting for something one way or the other.

“We literally can’t take a night off. It may not be pretty at times, but we’re getting the job done.

“We definitely can’t relax from here on in, despite having only one game next week. We’ll take a bit of time then the focus will switch to Friday.

“It’s been great getting the six points, but the Fife Flyers game is huge for us on Friday.

“It’s big Conference points against a huge rival and all our focus will switch to that and we’ll be ready.”
