IT COULD be a really tough day for one of my other old clubs Motherwell at Celtic Park today after what happened to them during the week.

Ok, Aberdeen played well, but defensively Motherwell were all over the place and it was shocking to see just how poor they were. It was some scoreline, take nothing away from Aberdeen, but there were more than a few of the goals that were a comedy of errors.

But there was one of the goals that would have pleased Brendan Rodgers, the magnificent strike by Ryan Christie. He took it really well and it looks as if the loan spell is really benefitting him.

On paper, I fear for the Fir Park side, and what Celtic showed last week was that they can overcome a physical challenge as well.

Inverness tried to rough them up a bit, but once that first goal went in there was only going to be one outcome, and if anything, it actually seemed to galvanise Celtic and make them determined to win the game as convincingly as possible.

Brendan Rodgers might be tempted to give another couple of young players or fringe players a chance, but I don’t think you will see too many changes to the Celtic line-up, because he still wants to keep that momentum going.

Patrick Roberts, Liam Henderson, Kieran Tierney and Callum McGregor are all very young, so I don’t think there will be too many untried players coming in with the unbeaten record still at stake.
