INVERNESS CT 2 RANGERS 1 LOST IN THE

-

Hyndman’s was shot deflected wide and Martyn Waghorn was unfortunate to see a left foot shot from outside the area whistle past the post.

Rangers then conceded just like they always do.

The goal came right at the end of the 45 as Inverness found so much space between the Rangers central defence and their midfield. Liam Polworth had a shot blocked, the ball fell to Greg Tansey who had time to size up a shot from 25 yards which he sent into the bottom corner off the net.

McKay tested Fon Williams on 61 minutes with a fierce shot which the Welshman did well to get fingers to at the final moment. This was better.

It was now a good game. Foderingham is one at Ibrox with little to apologise for and on 71 minutes he pulled off an outstanding save when he got one hand to a Tansey shot heading for the top corner.

Then Waghorn was picked out superbly by Hyndman, who really came onto a game, but the Englishman’s shot from close range was kept out by Fon
