POLICE have reissued an appeal for an elderly man who has been missing for four days as concerns for the pensioner grow.

Thomas Clark, 84, from East Kilbride, was last seen on the morning of Thursday.

Police have now been able to confirm that he boarded a bus travelling in the direction of Airdrie.

Officers have been trawling through CCTV footage to get an idea of his movements from the point he was last seen.

Officers now understand Mr Clark boarded the 201 bus at Whitemoss Avenue, East Kilbride at around 11.30am on Thursday.

The bus was heading out of East Kilbride in the direction of Airdrie. The man, who lives in Kirkton Park in East Kilbride, was reported missing on Friday.

Sergeant Nicola Hope, based at East Kilbride, said: “We would ask anyone who was on that bus on Thursday to think back. You may have seen Thomas Clark, or witnessed the stop that he got off the bus.

“Our inquiries are ongoing to trace Mr Clark. Officers are continuing to assess CCTV and are liaising with local transport providers.

“I want to thank everyone who took the time to share our social media appeals and I would ask that you continue to do so.”

He is described as a white man, 5ft 6in, slim build, and with white hair.
