Sinclair targets a ton of strikes

have what it takes to find another 15 goals in their remaining six Ladbrokes Premiership matches.

“Yes, I think so,” he said. “We keep creating chances every game and we have got players in the team to score goals.

“Even Stu [Armstrong] coming from central midfield, he is adding to the tally. So I think everyone is chipping in with goals as well.

“It is great. It is always nice to get on the scoresheet and it is great to get back to winning ways.”

As much as Sinclair is shooting for a team target, the former Villa man is closing in on a strike record of his own.

With his tap in to put Celtic back in front on Saturday, the 28-year-old now sits with 23 strikes to his name this season.

His best tally in one campaign is 27 and, despite previously admitting he is not one for setting targets, Sinclair says he would be delighted to go one goal further in a green and white shirt.

He said: “It was just for me to come up here, enjoy, get that love of the game back – I think you can see how much I am taking every game as it comes.

“Every time I step onto the pitch I am trying to do as well as I can.

“I don’t really have a target but every time I play I want to score.

“Twenty seven is my best season at Swansea. It is not impossible, if I can reach that stage then great, but from my position to have 23 I think is not too bad.”

With Moussa Dembele making his way back to first-team action and Leigh Griffiths set to resume training this week, the return of two potent strikers ahead of the William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers will provide a timely boost.

Sinclair added: “It is great that everyone is back. We are giving the manager a choice.”
