“We’ve all really enjoyed our time up here,” he told the Celtic View. “Glen [head of performance Driscoll] and I have loved working with Brendan for many years, but this year has been very special.
“We’ve had some great days and great nights. We all want to continue that and give more to the club. There’s a lot more to achieve here and we’re excited about the future.
“It’s positive news for the club and hopefully the fans will be happy. They deserve it. They’ve got a manager who’s a supporter of the club, but we all love the club.
“We’ll do everything we can to keep pushing forward and become more successful each year. There’s a demand here to win and be successful, but we embrace that.
“We’re really looking forward to the next four years and to be the best we can be every day. There’s a lot more development to come from individual players and the team collectively.
“It’s truly a special club and we’re delighted to commit for a longer time.”
Davies, a former Welsh youth cap, first met Rodgers when he played for his youth team at Reading, where his hopes of a professional career were cruelly cut short by injury.
But he stressed his affection for Celtic has grown since he followed Rodgers, whose side take on Ross County in the Ladbrokes Premiership in Dingwall on Sunday, to Glasgow last summer.
He told the Celtic View: “You can’t work at Celtic and not build a love for the club. It’s an amazing place to work and it’s a privilege to be here. The atmosphere is amazing.”
