coming from there so I need to treat it now and get back fit.

“I was due to start the semi-final so it was a big disappointment to miss out on arguably the biggest game of my career to date, a semi-final and an Old Firm as well.

“We don’t know exactly how long I’ll be out for, it’s bruising so it should settle down with time but being on the ribs it needs a bit of time.

“It is not easy to treat but the physios are doing their best.

“I hope I will play for Rangers again, that shouldn’t be a problem.

“I will do my best to make it for this weekend but I’ll have to wait and see how the injury progresses this week and see day by day where I am.”

It has been a frustrating couple of weeks for Toral as he once again missed out on the Old Firm encounters through injury.

And the Spaniard admits it was difficult to watch on after also being in the stands for the draw at Parkhead in March.

Toral told RangersTV: “These are the big games that every player want to be involved in. the atmosphere in both of the games was amazing and to not be able to take part has just been really frustrating.

“I need to take that on the chin though and just keep working and I hope other big game come along in my career.

“I arguably feel even worse not playing because I am not able to help them on the pitch when the results aren’t going our way.

“Not being able to help them on the field has been painful.”
