The football icon, who is from Govan, will take the stage with TV sports presenter Hazel Irvine.

He said: “I’ve had the privilege of experiencing football at its highest level but I know only too well what a positive impact it can have at every level. The benefits to the physical and mental health of those playing cannot be understated and the work Street Soccer Scotland does every day across the country plays a big part and must be encouraged and supported. I am delighted to be sup- porting Street Soccer Scotland once again and I look forward to returning to Glasgow for what will be a fantastic and inspiring event.”

David Duke, founder and chief executive of Street Soccer Scotland, added: “Having Sir Alex as our guest of honour is the stuff dreams are made of and I know there will be a lot of people, from business and sport, who want to attend this special event to hear from one of the greatest football managers ever.”
