create a continuum of success.

“I love working with them and some coaches can enjoy working with players but don’t enjoy watching their team – but I love watching my team.

“I love to see how they take things from the training field into the game and how they have coped with all the various different questions they have been posed this season – and to still see them working as intensely, while the focus, concentration and belief has been great.

“But of course for us, it’s about continuing that and the best time to do that is when you are successful so we need to keep improving all the time.”

Meanwhile, the Hoops boss has also hinted that Brown could remain at Celtic beyond his current deal.

The Celtic skipper celebrated his tenth anniversary this week at Parkhead and although he has a year left on his contract, Rodgers believes he can continue to impress in the same way he has throughout the current campaign.

“He is still a real influence and he will continue to have that,” Rodgers said. “There is chemistry there between him and I, which should be the case when it is manager and captain.

“It is a really enjoyable one and communication is open. We both have ambitions for the club and we both enjoy quality in our work.

“For him, I can see him getting even stronger over the next couple of years.

“It’s been a pleasure to work with him this season and he’s been a real catalyst for the squad.

“I genuinely think he can sustain this level over the coming years.”
