Have your say on helping shape vital city services
THE public are being asked their views on topics ranging from health and wealth to jobs and childcare.
A wide range of city organisations have drawn up a plan which outlines the key priorities for the city.
They include tackling the skills shortage and poverty, promoting economic growth in a bid to ensure everyone benefits from the city’s success as well as helping people achieve their potential.
City councillor Russell Robertson, who is chairman of Glasgow’s community planning partnership, launched the public consultation at an event at the Pearce Institute in Govan.
He said: “Our vision is for Glasgow to be a world class city with thriving and resilient communities where everyone can flourish and benefit from the city’s success
“We will make sure we take action together and in our individual or- ganisations to deliver change and improvement needed.
“This is the public’s chance to have their say on the proposed plan which is bound to contain something which affects their daily lives.
“We want to hear people’s ideas and views on the draft plan and I would urge them to get involved, complete the survey and have their say. Their views can help shape services.”
The final version of the commu- nity plan will be published in October and public feedback to the draft will help shape that document.
Membership of the community planning partnership includes the city council, health chiefs, the police and fire services, housing associations, the Chamber of Commerce, Scottish Natural Heritage, the Scottish Sports Council and Visit Scotland.
