Cops launch hunt after street death
A MANHUNT has been launched after a 31-year-old man was murdered in the street.
The victim, who was stabbed, was last night named as Craig McLelland.
Police inquiries are continuing after Craig, believed to be a dad-of-three, was stabbed late on Sunday night.
Officers from Police Scotland’s Major Investigations squad were studying CCTV images and carrying out door-to-door inquiries.
The area was sealed off and forensic officers were at the scene, where floral tributes are being laid.

Police inquiries are continuing after Craig, believed to be a dad-of-three, was stabbed on Tweed Avenue in the Foxbar area of the town late on Sunday night.
He was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital but died of his injuries.
Officers from Police Scotland’s Major Investigations squad were studying CCTV images and carrying out door-to-door inquiries early yesterday morning.
The area was sealed off and forensic officers were at the scene.
Police received a report that a man had been stabbed at around 11.20pm on Sunday and appealed for witnesses to come forward.
A post mortem examination was taking place last night to establish the exact cause of death.
Police said last night the incident was being treated as murder.
Floral tributes had been left at the scene yesterday including one which said: “Can’t believe your (sic) gone Craig. Cruel, cruel world. Sleep tight my friend.”
Detective Superintendent Allan Burton from Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team (West) said:
“Mr McLelland has died following a violent attack which took place in the middle of the street and it is vital that we trace the person or persons responsible.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in Tweed Avenue, or the surrounding area, be- tween 10.30pm and 12.30am to please come forward as you may be able to assist with our investigation.
