Scots holidaymak­er dies in Ibiza car crash horror

A MAN from Glasgow has died in Ibiza after being hit by a car

Kenny Macnicol, 21, was killed in the tourist resort of San Antonio after he was struck by a vehicle on Sunday.

Heartbroke­n friends have paid tribute to the popular 21-year-old old who had been on holiday with eight friends.

Thomas Swan wrote: “Madness going on holiday 8 of us and leaving, 7 lost a best pal n a brother rip Kenny Macnicol.”

Sharing a photograph with Mr MacNicol, friend Ryan Smith wrote: “R.i.p Kenny boy, F***** gutted mate.”

Donna Smith said: “Rest in peace Kenny, my thoughts and prayers are with your close friends and family at this very sad time. I’m going to miss our wee chats, heaven has gained another beautiful angel.”

Meanwhile, tributes were also paid to a young man who died in Bulgaria while on holiday with 18 of his friends.

Cameron Russell, 20, was in the popular resort of Sunny Beach when he died following an accident.

The digger driver from Dalry was rushed to hospital on Thursday after an incident close to the Chaika Beach Hotel.

His sister tweeted: “Genuinely never felt pain like the heartache I feel right now. How are we ever supposed to get over this? I am broken.”

A Foreign Office spokesman said: “The British Embassy in Bulgaria is providing assistance to the family of a British man who has died in Sunny Beach.”

Cameron – nicknamed Buff – worked for waste management firm Clearwater. The company paid tribute to him on their Facebook page.
