No wins, no panic for Dee boss Neil

- By STUART McDONALD

DUNDEE boss Neil McCann believes he has seen enough in his side not to panic, despite suffering three defeats in the league so far.

The visitors may feel unfortunate to have lost to Aberdeen on Saturday, with Stevie May’s winner coming while two men were off the pitch injured.

Roarie Deacon equalised for the Dark Blues either side of May’s decisive strikes but they couldn’t find a way to claim a point at Pittodrie.

McCann, however, was looking at the positives.

“There’s no question there’s loads of positives,” he said. “The boys knocked their pan in and that’s the minimum we expect.

“Roarie showed how much of a handful he can be and we need to get him on the ball more.

“I said to him at half-time that I wanted to see him inside the pitch more and that’s where the goal came from.”

Injuries are a concern though, with Faissal El Bakhtaoui and Marcus Haber forced off by muscular issues, and Scott Allan also dropping out in the dying minutes.

McCann added: “They’ve just been assessed so far. We’ve not had much luck on that front.

“We’ve signed Josh Meekings but we’re looking at it being after the international break before he and Sofien Moussa are back fit.

Randy Wolters is ready to step up his rehabilitation which might be handy given the numbers we’re losing just now.”
