A SCOTS eyewear firm has become the latest tenant to move in to a creative business hub.

IOLLA, which sells affordable and stylish glasses online and from its Finnieston store, will be moving in to a 670sq ft space at the Whisky Bond.

The firm, which is nominated for the Evening Times’ Glasgow’s Favourite Business Awards, plans to use the new space to base its headquarters, increasing its design and production capabilities.

Stefan Hunter, founder of IOLLA, said: “The Whisky Bond has become the first home of the IOLLA headquarters, helping us to expand the team and grow the business.

“Not only is this the base for our design, marketing and communications activity, but we have opened our first ever optical workshop in the space, now glazing all sunglass and optical lenses in-house.

“All of this under one roof means we can see each stage of the process from order to delivery, for the very first time.”

The Whisky Bond’s asset manager Fiona MacFadyen said: “IOLLA has rapidly become an iconic Scottish brand and we’re delighted to welcome them to our expanding community of designers and makers.

“There is a real diversity within the building with businesses sparking ideas from each other, collaborating and supporting each other.

“This was always one of the fundamental aims of The Whisky Bond.”
