TOMMY WRIGHT was frustrated St Johnstone couldn’t capitalise on the po positive aspects of their pe performanc­e as they went do down 3-0 against Rangers.

The Saints had promising sp spells in a competitiv­e aff affair at McDiarmid Park bu but were left with nothing as they slipped to another Pr Premiershi­p defeat.

And Perth boss Wright ad admits it was a frustratin­g ni night as the Saints were left em empty handed.

He said: “I was pleased ho how we played, not pleased with the result. I thought fo for 70 minutes we were sli slightly the better side.

“They put one cross in th the box in the first half, we sh should probably deal with it b better and don’t.

“We had numerous op opportunit­ies to get in be behind them but the final ba ball or the finish wasn’t go good enough.

“I think, up until the se sending off, we were d dominant, although they were still getting us on the counter. We were the dominant team in the second half.

“I have got to be pleased from that point of view but I am disappoint­ed we didn’t make more of the good play that we had, up until a certain area in the pitch.

“We didn’t put a final pass or a final touch on a lot of our good play.

“Ultimately we have conceded two goals off crosses again, which players have got to do better with.”
