- By STUART McDONALD

DUMBARTON boss Stevie Aitken knows things won’t get any easier for his side after defeat to St Mirren on Saturday.

But the Dumbarton manager believes his side can take heart from their last two outings.

“It’ll be another tough game,” Aitken said. “It’s always going to be difficult on the road and we know we’ll have to play well to get something.

“We’ve been encouraged by the performance against St Mirren and by the second half away at Livingston when we were excellent.

“We’ll look at the squad and see who’s available, maybe freshen things up a bit.

“But we’re looking forward to it, Cappielow is a good surface and we’ll go and try to win th the game.”

Aitken - a former Ton mi midfielder - said he ho hoped the club’s injury lis list would be shorter in time for the clash wi with his old club, but ad admitted some players wo would still be missing.

He told SonsTV: “D “Dougie Hill will be back. He had a tear in his ha hamstring so we couldn’t ris risk him.

“Stuart Carswell is ba back in training now, alt although Danny Hanlon is maybe another three or four weeks away fro from fitness.”
