WHATTHEYSAID...

- SCOTT McDONALD ROY KEANE PATRICE LOKO

EX-CELTIC STRIKER “You kind of knew that PSG were going to be the victors, but 7-1 is just a little bit of an embarrassment again.

“I know Celtic have competed at this level this year and it looks like they’ll get progression to the Europa League, but how many years running is it going to be acceptable to get beat by fives, sixes and sevens?

“PSG smell blood. Goals six and seven came so quickly after the fifth and you are just thinking ‘please, no more’.” EX-CELTIC MIDFIELDER “You can’t be too hard on Celtic. To be fair, I think PSG, in terms of going forward, are one of the best teams we’ve seen in a long time.

“To win this competition you need one or two outstanding players going forward, they’ve probably got four or five so they’re a huge threat.

“They scored fantastic goals but with the other chances, they could have scored 10, 12, 15 goals.

“They play in front of you, they’ll stretch you, the pace is fantastic.” PSG LEGEND “To score this many goals in the group is huge, but you have to put it into perspective because teams like Celtic and Anderlecht are at the bottom of the pile in Europe.

“I expected maybe a 5-1 win and I also thought Moussa Dembele would score – it always seems to happen when strikers come back to their old club.

“Even if Celtic are an average team, this was a great performance from the entire PSG team, who are one of the best in Europe.”
