Sneaky thief nabs throw from Paisley pub

-

A CHEEKY pub punter has nicked cozy decor designed to give a boozer a homely feel.

The Wee Howff in Paisley has hit out at the blatant thief who stole a throw from the seating area during a recent visit.

The owners of the pub posted on Facebook, pleading for the thief to return the item with no questions asked.

The post read: “To the folks sitting in the snug area last night, this throw was part of the cozy decor to be enjoyed by customers, not to be taken home.

“No questions asked for the return of this please and if you like something we have feel free to ask where we purchased them.

“We don’t steal from your home so please don’t steal from our pub. We work hard just like you, seven days a week.”

The pub, which is in the town’s High Street, then joked that they would be watching customers.

On a board in the boozer, a warning read: “Please respect the pub and its contents. CCTV in operation. Thieves are not welcome, you will be named and shamed.”

Customers of the pub responded to the posts on Facebook.

One said: “Sometimes people do daft things, like this full of the drink. If so then they should return it and apologise.”

Another added: “That is awful, surely no one would have the brass neck to return it even if they put money in a envelope for a replacement. I cannot believe some people. Hope you get something.”

Another customer hit out: “That’s totally disgusting, you have got the pub looking great and people just ruin it.”
