Heartbrokendogowner’s plea for pup’s safe return

- By STACEY MULLEN

A HEARTBROKEN dog owner has launched an appeal after his beloved pooch vanished while he was out for a walk on Sunday.

Ryan Boswell fears that 11-month old Chino has been snatched after he failed to return from a grassy area in Glasgow’s South Side.

The 29-year-old had taken both Chino and his other pet dog Felix, which is an 11-year-old Labrador/Alsatian cross, out for a walk on Renfrew Street at around 3pm.

Felix returned back to Ryan after both pets were playing in a grassy area but Chino vanished.

Ryan said: “I’m absolutely heartbroken and I need to find him.

“He’s a little Jack Russell/Chihuahua cross, and he’s only 11-months-old.”

Now Ryan is asking people in the Govan and Shieldhall areas to keep an eye out for the pooch as it has been over a day since he vanished.

He said: “To be honest, I think he has been taken. It has happened a few times in the past to other dog owners in this area.”

Ryan has been carrying out searches for the pooch, and leaving food and toys around the area in a bid to bring him home.

Police Scotland were contacted but Ryan was advised to wait at least a day. He was also told to contact the dog kennel. Ryan said: “I need to get my boy back.” Anyone with information on the dog can contact Ryan on 07549892071.
