POLICE IN HUNT FOR CITY TRAIN SEX ATTACKER

Creep pounced on passenger as she slept on late-night service

AHUNT has been launched after a man sexually assaulted a woman on a train.

The woman, in her 30s, was attacked on a late-night service into Glasgow Central.

Police said she had been asleep before the attack took place and other passengers may not have realised she was being assaulted.

The man kissed and touched her inappropri­ately, before sexually assaulting her.

A WOMAN has been sexually assaulted on a train service between East Kilbride and Glasgow.

Transport cops are hunting for the attacker who struck on the 10.28pm service from East Kilbride to Glasgow Central on Saturday, February 3.

The woman, in her 30s, was approached by a man she did not know. He kissed and touched her inappropri­ately, before sexually assaulting her.

The woman had been asleep on the train prior to the assault and it may not have been apparent to other passengers she was being assaulted.

The attack lasted for some time and may have been witnessed by other passengers in that carriage. The woman got off the train at Glasgow Central and was spoken to by a group of passengers who had been on the train and helped her towards a connecting train service.

The offender is white, in his 20s, approximat­ely 5ft 10in and of slim build. He had dark hair and was wearing a blue Stone Island top, black jeans and dark Adidas-style trainers.

Detectives are keen to speak with anyone who was on board this train and may have seen what happened or felt concerned by what they saw. Likewise, if you know anyone matching the descriptio­n of the man, please get in touch.
