Fears grow for safety of missing man

CONCERN is growing for a missing man who has lost a significan­t amount of weight in the last few weeks.

Mark Connolly, 48, from the Haldane area of Alexandria was reported missing on Tuesday by a family member.

It is, however.believe that the last possible sighting of him was around 4pm on Sunday within the Haldane (Inler) Park.

Mr Connolly is described as around 5ft 10in, of slim build – however possibly very slim at present – cropped very short dark hair and blue eyes.

When last seen he was believed to be wearing blue jeans, blue training shoes and a mustard coloured jacket.

He has lost a significan­t amount of weight in the last few weeks so may appear thinner than usual to those who know him.

Sergeant Andrew Barron at Dumbarton Police Station said: “Mr Connolly is well known within the local community and is usually in regular contact with family members.

“The fact that no-one has heard from him for several days now causes them great concern and they urge him to contact them to let them know he is safe and well.

“Anyone who has seen him since Sunday 11 February or anyone who knows of his present whereabout­s is asked to contact police at Dumbarton via 101 quoting incident number 3528 of February 13.”
