Fan’s joy at birthday surprise from ex-Ibrox striker
RANGERS legend Nacho Novo left a dedicated fan in tears at his Glasgow bar after he surprised her on her birthday.
Staff at his NN10 bar on Paisley Road West shared images of customer Margaret Williamson, from Lesmahagow, looking visibly shocked and crying as Novo presented her with flowers and gave her a hug.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, the bar’s staff said: “It was Mag’s birthday today, and being a huge fan of Nacho’s, she visited the bar, brought by a stretch hummer!
“Little did she know that Nacho would pop in with a birthday card and some flowers.
“Overwhelmed and overjoyed, we’re sure he’s helped make it a pretty special birthday for her.
“What’s more Nacho is planning to visit her grandson in hospital this week before he undergoes a major operation.
“Happy birthday Mags and all the best.”
The post received around 700 reactions with many wishing Margaret a happy birthday and praising Novo for making her day.
Margaret said: “Can’t thank nn10 n nacho enough what a brilliant day / night n what a great surprise – he sure is a great guy could not have asked for anymore.”
The former Gers ace – who suffered a heart attack scare in Germany in January – scored 47 goals dur ing 179 appearances at the Ibrox club.
