Man, 21, stabbed in nightclub

A MAN was stabbed in a “violent and unprovoked” attack in a Glasgow nightclub.

The 21-year-old victim was attacked by two men within Kushion nightclub in Bath Street at around 2.50am yesterday morning.

He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment, where his condition was described as serious but stable.

A MAN has been stabbed in a city centre nightclub.

Police are hunting for two suspects following the attack in Kushion on Bath Street in the early hours of Friday morning.

Officers said the 21-year-old man was in the venue when he was seriously assaulted by two men at around 2.50am.

The man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and then transferre­d to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was treated for stab wounds.

His condition was described as stable.

Detective Constable Michael Leyton, of City Centre Police Office, said: “Officers have been carrying out enquiries into this incident and have gathered CCTV footage which we will study to gather more informatio­n and identify the two men responsibl­e for this violent and unprovoked attack.

“At this time, I would urge anyone who witnessed this incident take place within the nightclub who has not yet spoken to police to please come forward as they may have informatio­n that is significan­t to our investigat­ion.”

The first suspect is described as around 5ft 9in and of medium build with sallow skin and short dark hair.

The second suspect is described as in his mid-20s, around 6ft 2in and of medium build with short dark-coloured hair.
