SYNTHPOP outfit Years & Years arrive in Glasgow on Wednesday when they bring their particular brand of electropop and R&B to The SSE Hydro.

The group’s debut album Communion hit the Number One spot in 1995, which spawned the single ‘King’ and brought them a huge amount of attention for a new act.

The band will perform in the city as part of an arena tour in November following European tour dates for early 2019.

This week’s date will be one of the first chances for fans to hear their new recording ‘Palo Santo’ being properly brought to life before they start 2019 with a run of headline shows in Europe.

AN exhibition which showcase the contributi­ons of Glasgow’s Asian community is nearing the end of its run at a city museum.

It examines the influence and heritage of South Asian Communitie­s across Scotland and throughout Glasgow.

The exhibition at Scotland Street Museum, marks the beginning of a relationsh­ip between Glasgow Museums and community group Colourful Heritage.

It has developed an online archive of material which has recorded the migration of people from South Asia to Scotland.

Among the exhibits are a copy of the Quran Mohammed Sarwar used as the UK’s first Muslim MP and the kilt and sherwani worn by Humza Yousaf MSP at the Scottish Parliament in 2011.

FANS of 80s hair rock should prepare for a trip back in time when musical comedy ‘Rock of Ages’ arrives at the King’s Theatre in Glasgow in the New Year.

The hit musical is an LA love story set to a soundtrack of more than 25 classic rock anthems.

The production, which starts on January 22, stars Kevin Kennedy as Dennis, Zoe Birkett as Justice, Jodie Steele as Sherrie, Luke Walsh as Drew, Lucas Rush as Lonny, Andrew Carthy as Franz, Vas Constanti as Hertz and Rhiannon Chesterman as ‘Regina’
