Two separate sheriffs at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last week jailed him for the offences, with the sentences to run consecutively.

The jury then convicted him of similar offences towards a second ex-partner between June 1, 2016 and August 31, 2017. The offences all happened at a house in Robert Burns Avenue, Mossgiel Drive and a flat in Jean Armour Drive.

Robertson repeatedly shouted, and swore and acted in an aggressive manner, made abusive remarks and sent abusive messages to the woman.

He committed the offences while on bail.

The jury returned a third guilty verdict on Robertson for carrying out further abuse on a third ex on various occasions between January 1 and June 2, 2017. He was acquitted of a fourth charge, against a fourth woman.
