It’s Celtic’s time to suffer, says Salzburg striker

-

RED BULL SALZBURG striker Munas Dabbur suffered heartache on his previous visit to Glasgow last month.

But he’s determined to make sure it’s Celtic fans who will suffer this week after he insisted his side are hell-bent on making it six wins out of six in the Europa League, which would end the Hoops’ hopes of reaching the last 32.

Dabbur was disappointed when he was part of an Israel side who lost 3-2 to Scotland at Hampden last month.

On Thursday, he will be up against the likes of hat-trick hero James Forrest and Callum McGregor again, but this time he’s convinced the outcome will be different.

And he’s desperate to repeat his heroics the last time Salzburg played Celtic when he netted a double in a 3-1 win.

He said: “We lost to Scotland and of course they had James Forrest in the team who scored a hat-trick. We will need to watch out for him this time.

“Celtic are a big club and a very good team – they proved that when they beat RB Leipzig at home.

“But we are a strong team too and I believe we have the players to beat them away and that’s what we will try to do.

“We only know one way to play and that’s to win. Don’t think for a minute we will relax in Glasgow.

“To get 18 points out of 18 would be massive.”

And Dabbur believes his side will relish playing in a packed Parkhead.

Dabbur said: “When you compare it with our game at the weekend at Modling, there were just over 1,000 fans or something.

“Clearly in Glasgow it will be a different story in front of 60,000 loud supporters and I think it will bring out the best of us.”
