Find out where film star spent Hogmanay

GERARD BUTLER might have been pictured in Scotland over the festive season but I can reveal he chose somewhere even colder for Hogmanay.

The Paisley-born actor had posted up an Instagram video of himself here beside a Loch but shortly after he jetted off to Iceland!! And not the frozen food store.

Despite the cold temperatur­es, Gerard managed to keep warm with a visit to the geothermal baths at Krauma.

There are six different baths on offer there and guests can enjoy soothing music and a crackling fireplace while they have a dip.

Gerard’s trip was a mix of business and pleasure.

He also managed to watch his new movie How To Train Your Dragon Film 3: The Hidden World alongside Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Director Dean DeBlois and songwriter Jónsi in the land of Vikings.

Gerard has been to Iceland before and once mistakenly asked the minister of agricultur­e for a ham and cheese sandwich there. This time he definitely didn’t go hungry.

Lulu’s new pals

LULU and Scots band The Cutkelvins hit it off so much at STV’s filmed Hogmanay party they ended up being asked to sing on stage with her at another gig.

Lulu was seen chatting away to X Factor’s Shereen and her brothers Jay and Kyle at Partick Burgh Hall during filming of the show.

Jay said: “I could only watch and admire and learn from Lulu. She is so profession­al.”

The funky band are now best buds with the star who asked them to sing at her Princes Street gig on her last track Shout. They
